Create a user-defined log file format

If you have special requirements for the format of your log file, you can use and modify the supplied pre-defined file formats or create your own file format from scratch.

  1. Go to Data Logger > General log settings and select CSV file header > User-defined format.

Additional options for format files are displayed.

  2. Select one of the pre-defined file formats.
    • FileBatch_log.cfg (sample file for using batch numbers in file names)
    • FP_Web_Designer_log.cfg (for FP Web Designer)
    • KW_Monitor_log.cfg (for KW Monitor)
    • KW_Watcher_log.cfg (for KW Watcher)
  3. Save the file to your PC where you can modify it.
If you prefer to create your own file format from scratch, make sure the file name is unique and the extension is .cfg.
  4. To upload your file format, drag a file onto the drag and drop area or select a file with the + icon and then select the cloud icon.
  5. Save your configuration.

When you have changed any settings, a Save button appears in the upper right corner of the screen. You can make changes on multiple pages and then save your settings.
